Your Control Number is an 8-digit number that gets assigned to you when your Veterans' Group Life Insurance (VGLI) account is created. You can locate your Control Number on the following types of correspondence:
VGLI Billing Statements (followed by -0001)
Certificate of Insurance or VGLI Welcome letter
Renewal notices
Application confirmation email (if you applied online recently)
